address the following criteria:
• The Personality Approach. Introduce and discuss the overall personality approach,
elaborating with evidence and source attribution. Assume your audience does not know anything about this approach, so be sure to provide a description with enough detail that the reader would be able to understand it.
• A Theorist and Their Theory. Introduce and provide a brief bio for one major researcher associated with the specific personality approach you chose. Introduce one theory that this theorist contributed to the approach. Assume your audience does not know anything about their theory, so be sure to provide a description with enough detail that the reader would be able to understand it.
• Theory Analysis. Critically analyze the theory. What scholarly evidence supports it? What scholarly evidence refutes it? Elaborate using and citing the specific scholarly source evidence you found during your research.
• Theory Utility. Provide and defend your opinion on the theory’s capacity for utility in real life. Do you feel it fully informs human personality? Does it fall short? Why do you think so? Elaborate. Integrate at least one example.
• Assessment Overview. According to the specific theory you critically analyzed, introduce and discuss how it is intended to assess personality (e.g., “Based on his theory of dream analysis, Sigmund Freud would assess personality in the following ways…). Assume your audience does not know anything about this assessment process, so be sure to provide a description with enough detail that the reader would be able to understand it.
• Assessment Utility. Provide and defend your opinion on the assessment’s capacity for utility in real life. Do you feel it assesses human personality effectively? Does it fall short? Why do you think so? Elaborate. Integrate at least one example.

• Make a conclusion. In other words, wrap your ideas back together and compose an eloquent summary and conclusion.
• Add an APA References section. After the conclusion of your essay, beginning at the top of the next full page, create a References section and include the complete APA citation for each of your sources in alphabetical order. Reminder: Each source also needs to be discussed and cited in-text at least once.
Submit the completed essay as an attachment to the Course Material section within the Blackboard course shell (Word document, 12-pt font, double spaced, 1-inch margins).
