History of Atlantic Slave Trade

In the ancient middle, trade helped the people who lived there in many ways. One way that it helped the people was that it was a good way to flow goods. This is of trade is called cosmopolitan, since there were widely spread cultures, lifestyles, and ideas. All the money they made in the middle east came from the busy trade routes going through the region. The metal was a famous item to trade since it created many items that their regions need, like weapons and tools.

Initially, this trade was for long distances with the transportation of overland caravans, domesticated horses, chariots, etc.

In East Africa, trade helped the people who lived there in many ways. One way that trade had helped was it was in the middle of the country which was the Nile river. The river was located in a local area near everyone so they had access to trade their goods. These goods include gold and iron which had been traded around the country.

Salt was another item that was popularly traded among the people. It was an item that helped with wealth and power. Many of the kingdoms in Africa had helped with trade which made it smoother, but also rough. East Africa and Ancient Middle east have a few similarities and some differences. One way they trade the same is that their trade routes are local to where the people live so it is easy to trade. Another similarity is that they both trade items that are useful and helpful.

Some differences that they have are the ways they use the trade items, like metal is used for tools and weapons but salt is used for wealth and power. Another difference is in the middle east they had transportation through roads. While in east Africa it was through water which was the Nile river. Ur city-state was located in the region of Sumer. Sumer is located in Mesopotamia which is modern-day Iraq. The city-state was named after the founder which was named Ur. Ur was important because in the bible it was named as the home of Abraham. Ur was one of the first city-states created in Mesopotamia. It had been controlled by the Sumerians at the year of 3000 BC.

The greek democracy is also known as Athens was ruled by a group called Spartans. 100 years ago Athens had a direct democracy. This means that all the citizens in the area could vote on rules and laws. This had been very special in the they the citizens had lived in. It had been different and unique. It had been unique because no one else had done what they had been doing.

In Roman society, patricians were known as aristocrats. There had been two spots in the government that were held. The two spots were consuls or leaders who had ruled. A senate had choss these positions which were the patricians and consuls. At that time in history, the lowest class was citizens or plebeians. Since they were the lowest they had no effect on what they had said. The greek and the Romans were different in many ways. The greek had been ruled by a group. While the Romans had been ruled by specific people that were in higher rankings. Also, the rules between the greeks and Romans had been different. The greek had voted for the rules and regulations. While the Romans had the leaders make the rules and choices the citizens could make.

Christianity affected the roman empire in many ways. The ways it became affect the empire to grow and become bigger. While the Romans were building the empire they were also building churches. The structures that were being built in the empire had caused the Romans to slow down the creation of the empire. Gladiatorial games had also been abolished as Christians kept Rome strong. The results of the empire weren’t bad even though Christians gave it some troubles.

The decline of the Byzantine Empire had many causes that had came with it. One cause was the Arab wars which made a bad outcome. It had started on the west side of the empire and spread from there. Conflicts had gotten brought up which caused situations for the empire. Venice and Geona had been the city-states that had lost to the Arabs. The situation had lasted for over 3,000 years.During the decline of the roman empire, there had been many problems. The west had been having trouble while the east had been happy with no conflicts. Since the west part of Rome had fallen they had moved to the east. The east had been the byzantine empire which made them become bigger. This connection had lasted for about hundreds of years. Which had made the fall of Rome happened.

To compare the downfall of both these empires, they had some differences and some similarities. They both had many problems which had caused the falls. Over time the problems had made the empires in worst conditions. Another similarity that they had was they both started in the west and grew bigger. One difference that they had was Byzantine was in a war while the roman empire wasn’t. Also, the Romans grew into the byzantine empire since they had nowhere to go.

Pope Urban II started all the situations with the crusades. He had wanted the Christians to fight the Muslims. He told them to fight for control over the holy lands. After 4 crusades the Muslims had won which devastated the pope. Even though that had happened it resulted in an increase in trade in Europe. Since there had been more trade it had made Europe grow into towns. Islams had affected India in one way but had great destruction to the country. The one way that affected India caused everyone’s life to move over the country. The religion had there invasion start in the west. This means that it had shifter all over the country. Which insists that it was spread to the coast. This raid had happened in the 7th century B.C.

The renaissance in Italy had a lot of details that made the renaissance happen. The word renaissance in Italian means rebirth. Rebirth means that a time of new culture. The renaissance happened during a classical period in history, which also means that dark ages. It had happened because many countries wanted their wealth and their wealthy peninsula. This had all happened at the end of the 15th century. The northern renaissance happens in north Europe. The renaissance had happened because of oil paintings and how the people were jealous of the wealth the north of Europe was getting. This was also associated with culture and feudalism. The renaissance had caused humanism around Europe. This had changed the lifestyle of Europeans. Another result was that everyone has started learning English. The people who had learned English was Italian, French, German, Spanish.

The northern and Italian renaissances had some similarities and some differences. Ideas of the renaissances have spread which have made the conflicts complicated to explain. Humanist and writers form the northern renaissance had been persuaded by the north side. At the end of the renaissances, they had been moved together in a nice agreement. Since the end of the renaissances came out to be good they had both realized that their similarities and differences made each of them unique. Also, they had influenced each other which meant they fought together but differently.

Pizzaro and Cortes both conquered but in different places and at different times. Cortes allied with native Americans which helped him conquer. He conquered the Aztec empire which had included its capital Tenochtitlan. While Pizzaro conjoined with his brothers and conquered a country. He had his brothers conquered Peru and later had been assassinated by the Spanish. To conclude, Cortes fought by himself while Pizzaro fount with his brothers.
