My Nursing Career

I have had a lifelong passion for nursing and caring for people. It is less of a job to me and more of a calling. I have faced obstacles along my way to this career that have made me resilient and able to handle challenges with tact. My ability to maintain composure in stressful situations and to think critically under pressure, are characteristics I attribute to those experiences and find imperative to the profession of nursing. Aside from strengthening my nursing skills, my clinical experiences have taught me the importance of multitasking, problem-solving, and prioritizing which will allow me to make quick high-impact decisions in the NAME OF UNIT unit at NAME OF HOSPITAL.

As senior student liaison, my peers found that my trustworthiness, optimism, and empathy made me the best candidate to be the neutral source of communication between the students and the faculty of the nursing program. Since my election, the students and faculty have relied on me to relay information and find solutions to problems they are facing. In this position, I have discovered my ability to defuse high-intensity situations and have enhanced my ability to communicate calmly and effectively in times of stress.
