Nursing is a career that requires a lot of different skills combined with excellence level of quality care for patients and their families. To do this a nurse may need help from other practices and professionals. They may need help from professionals like psychologists in order to do their job and help their patients. Although it may not be obvious to people outside of the NHS but the importance of psychology in the nursing profession is almost natural for nurses. A nurse may need to try analyse how their patient thinks or acts in order to provide the level of care they need, they will request psychologists to help to see how they feel.

Psychology and Nursing careers go hand and hand together, this approach allows the healthcare professionals to build confidence relationship with the patients to provide the appropriate care. Nurses who study psychology extensively are trained to understand a wide range and depths of emotions and what emotions can lead to injury or further illnesses in patients.

They may be able to tell if the emotional state of patients is causing them the physical problem.

Nurses may also use psychology themselves to certain extent to attempt to think of ways to help emotions and stress of patients and get to the bottom of the problem effectively all while keeping their own emotions to the side. Without nursing and psychology careers working together it would be hard for nurses to do their job at times. There is a massive importance of psychology in nursing profession.

Successful nurses will build relationships with their patients, They also help psychologist in order to keep the patient calm during bloods tests or taking prescribe tablets. Nurses and specialists are always their to make sure their patients feel calm and safe during this time.
