What is the purpose of AACN master’s essentials and how do you think it will impact your practice moving forward?

These essentials serve as guiding principles for curriculum development, program evaluation, and continuous improvement in master’s-level nursing education.
Moving forward, the AACN master’s essentials will have a significant impact on my practice by:
- Providing a Comprehensive Foundation: By addressing key areas such as background sciences and humanities, leadership, quality improvement, informatics, health policy, and interprofessional collaboration, the essentials ensure that I have a well-rounded foundation of knowledge and skills necessary for advanced nursing practice.
- Enhancing Leadership Abilities: Through the emphasis on organizational and systems leadership, as well as health policy and advocacy, the essentials will help me develop leadership abilities that are essential for driving positive change within healthcare organizations and advocating for policies that promote patient safety, quality care, and health equity.
