Native Americans have consistently been incarcerated at higher rates compared to other ethnic groups in the United States. In recent years, the incarceration rate for Native Americans has ranged from 2 to 3 times the national average. This disparity is often attributed to a number of factors, including poverty, lack of access to education and job opportunities, and systemic discrimination within the criminal justice system.
