Answer:
Oppression refers to the systematic subjugation of a group of people by those who hold power and authority over them. This can take the form of social, economic, political, and legal restrictions on the freedom, rights, and opportunities of the oppressed group. Oppression can be based on various factors, such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, and so on.
Discrimination refers to the unequal treatment of individuals or groups based on certain characteristics, such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and so on. Discrimination can take many forms, including unequal access to education, employment, housing, and healthcare, as well as unequal treatment in the criminal justice system.
Sexism refers to attitudes, behaviors, and institutional practices that privilege men over women and reinforce gender-based stereotypes. Sexism can take many forms, such as unequal pay for equal work, sexual harassment and assault, and the underrepresentation of women in positions of power and influence.
These forms of oppression, discrimination, and sexism continue to be pervasive and persistent issues in many societies, despite significant progress in recent decades. Addressing these problems requires ongoing education, activism, and policy changes at both the individual and systemic levels.
