Australia with its increasing economy has now become one of the biggest platforms to operate business. One of the biggest advantages for the marketer in Australia is the stability in the economy. There are some useful insights for the marketers in Australia. The pattern of purchasing the product is different. It is observed that the significant marketing potential is observed to be available to those who provide adequate information regarding the products and services to meet the requirements of the senor market. Some of the marketers prefer to venture into Australian market to sell the well developed products considering the needs of the market. For example, some popular cosmetic brands such as Esteel Lauder, Revlon, and Olay have started marketing the skin care products that are developed to appeal to older women (Brodie et al. 2013).
2. Discussion on catering for each of the age cohorts
As the economy of the country is comparatively stable, it is easy to design the products for the customers. It is also observed that as there is a state of certainty in the economy, the consumers only has the concern of product quality rather than the price (Pérez et al. 2013). However, while designing the travel packages for the customers, it is necessary to analyze the demographic, psychographic aspect of the market. As per the demography, the consumers can be categorized into some particular segments namely baby boomers families, couples, married couples, family package, honeymoon package and retirement package. The couples falling under the age category of 20-30 years could choose the “couple package”. Likewise, newly married couple falling under the age category of 30-35 years could select the expansive honeymoon package.
3. Explaining how cognitive age and chronological age can be taken into the consideration in packaging and communication decisions
It is evident that while designing the package, certain aspects should be considered to meet needs of older women. It is observed that when people get older, people fall under the category of cognitive age. Due to cognitive aging, people lose memories, ability of handling information and ability of reasoning (Schiffman et al. 2013). Thus, at the time of packaging the shoes for older women, it is necessary to provide clear information with the package, thereby the consumers could easily understand. In addition, the culture may also influence the communication decision of the consumers. Therefore, design of products should be based on the daily life style of older people.
4. Selecting the products that would be popular among the member of each segment of Roy
There are certain aspects included in Roy Morgan value segment such as usual of way thinking, usually way of how people perceive themselves at home and at work (Crothers 2015). The aspects also include the channels of communication that reach people. Based on the analysis it can be mentioned that products that are regularly used by the people should be selected. These products may include the food products, cosmetic products and clothes. People regularly consume these products; thus, the products can be placed based on the needs of people. Thereby, the selected products would be poplar among the member of each segment of Roy Morgan.
